When it comes to hosiery, the thickness of tights can generally range from 5 denier to 100 denier (and even beyond). How is this calculated? Denier relates to the thread count of a pair of tights, or how transparent or opaque a pair of tights are, which also explains their thickness (and thus, warmth).
Our Sheer Tights that come in a range of five shades are measured at 20 denier, sitting on the lower end of the denier scale. This means they're sheer and won't keep you as warm. They're a helpful added layer to protect against wind and cold weather, but will not suffice in extreme cold temperatures.
